Texas Master Chorale

Promoting the appreciation of quality choral music

Founded in 1986, the Texas Master Chorale is a mixed choral ensemble of 100 auditioned singers.

2016-2017 Concert Season

Texas Master Chorale will open the season on October 8 at The Centrum with a performance of Sir Karl Jenkins’ Requiem. Using Western and Eastern influences, the Welsh composer successfully blends traditional Latin text with Japanese haiku to produce a dynamic and beautiful result. To enhance the interjected haiku poems, instrumentation includes the ancient shakuhachi wood flute.

To open the Christmas concert on December 17, the chorale will present Magnificat by J.S. Bach. After the Magnolia High School Choir performs a selection of traditional Christmas favorites, the concert will close with the combined choirs performing The Many Moods of Christmas (Suite One), arranged by Robert Shaw and Robert Russel Bennett.

The Spring concert on April 1, 2017 will close the season with an octavo selection of choral favorites, some of which will also be performed on our concert tour of Ireland in June 2017.

All concerts will be at The Centrum, 6823 Cypresswood Drive, Spring, TX 77379. For tickets ($16-$21), contact the Centrum Box Office at (281) 440-4850, or purchase them online.
