Support the Chorale

Dear Friends of Texas Master Chorale,

Welcome to Texas Master Chorale’s 34th Season of performing quality choral music for Houston area audiences.

We are pleased to announce that all concerts will continue to be held at John Wesley United Methodist Church at 5830 Bermuda Dunes in the Champions subdivision. We are offering season tickets at a 20% discount if purchased by October 31, just prior to the first concert on November 2.

Annual Pledge Campaign - September 15, 2019 through December 31, 2019

The Annual Pledge Campaign is a primary fundraiser for each fiscal year. We are asking that you please consider becoming a supporter of Texas Master Chorale for the 2018‐19 season. Ongoing supporters like you are the foundation of our financial well‐being. We are a 501(c)(3) corporation so all donations are tax deductible, within the IRS guidelines for Charitable Contributions (www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc506.)

Please see our donor form to review the donation levels and benefits available to our supporters. Note that season passes (tickets to all three concerts) are provided for almost all donor levels. If after November 2, tickets to remaining concerts will be provided.

Why your support is needed

One of TMC's goals is and was to offer performing arts patrons in our community an affordable concert experience. Fortunately, being close to Houston allows us to draw from the region’s elite professional musicians for orchestras to enhance the concert experience for our patrons. However, professional accompaniment is expensive, full orchestral accompaniment can cost between $12,000 and $15,000 per concert.

Additionally, we have started a music scholarship program for high school and college students who are pursuing music education and performance degrees; we will award the four $2,500 scholarships at our spring concert on April 4, 2020. Donated funds will allow us to build on this program for the future.

We are asking you to play a role in keeping choral music relevant in our schools and community. Your direct contribution will greatly enhance our mission of continuing the tradition of live musical performances.

We are very appreciative of any level of patronage you can provide through being a financial supporter, attending our concerts and bringing your friends to attend evenings of great music. Through your efforts, we have been able to keep choral music a vibrant component of the cultural fabric in our community.

If you have any questions about our mission and programs, or about how you can help, please contact Kathy Powell at info@texasmasterchorale.org or Jerry James at jerry.james@earthlink.net.

We greatly value your partnership and hope that you enjoy our 2019‐2020  Concert Season. We look forward to seeing you in the audience!
