TMC SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Starting with the 2018-19 concert season, thanks to generous support from both members and the local community, Texas Master Chorale launched the Future Music Majors Scholarship Program for students studying in Music Education programs, on either a vocal or instrumental track. During 2024-25, up to five separate scholarships of $3,000 each will be offered.

During 2024-25, up to five separate scholarships of $3,000 each will be offered.
2. Musical skills and proficiency are important in the selection of recipients. Financial need is considered but is not of primary importance.
3. Candidates must submit an essay stating their musical goals and explaining how the scholarship will help them further their goals.
4. Two letters of recommendation from faculty must be submitted with the candidate’s application, one of which must be music faculty.
5. Scholarship recipients may be asked to perform at a Texas Master Chorale Concert or function during the scholarship year.
6. If awarded, the recipient must be enrolled for a degree at an educational institution that maintains a regular faculty and curriculum, and normally has a regularly enrolled body of students in attendance at the place where it carries on its educational activities; and if awarded, any amounts received must be used to pay for tuition and fees required for enrollment or attendance at the educational institution, or for fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for courses at the educational institution. Any scholarship must be used in the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.

- Failure to comply with the scholarship criteria or falsification of any part of the application packet will result in an immediate forfeiture of the scholarship.
- Past scholarship recipients are eligible to reapply for the scholarship.
- Completed applications, essays, and teacher recommendations are to be submitted by March 22, 2024. Recipients will be notified no later than April 12, 2024.
- Scholarship recipients will be presented at the closing Texas Master Chorale performance on Saturday, April 27, 2024. Recipients must be present at this concert.
