Welcome to Texas Master Chorale’s 41st season of performing quality choral music for Houston area audiences. One of TMC's goals is to offer performing arts patrons in our community an affordable concert experience. Fortunately, being close to Houston allows us to draw from the region’s elite professional musicians for orchestras to enhance the concert experience for our patrons. However, it takes a significant amount of underwriting to generate the funds needed for our annual operating budget.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE?

- 100+ Volunteer Singers who rehearse a minimum of 24 hours for each concert, plus personal practice time.
- A 75-member Volunteer Guild who plans and conducts fundraising events
DIRECT EXPENSES:
- $15,000 => Future Music Educators Scholarships
- $80,000 => Orchestra and Artistic Leadership
- $40,000 => Rehearsal and Concert Venue
- $17,000 => Publicity and Advertising
- $12,000 => Music and Equipment
- $12,500 => Office Rental, Insurance and Administration
- $176,500 => Total Annual Budget to Fulfill our Mission

ANNUAL GIVING CAMPAIGN
As ticket sales account for only 15 percent of the required revenue to fund our annual performance budget, there are other ways described below by which you can support Texas Master Chorale. These include fundraising events, corporate and business sponsorships, and individual donations. |

Fundraising Events
TMC and the TMC Guild host major fundraising events which account for 45% of annual revenue:
- The Crescendo Gala on February 20, 2026
Corporate and Business Sponsorships
There are multiple sponsorship opportunities available for our fundraising events. Specific information will be available over the course of the concert season.
Individual Donations
- Contributions from individuals are a key component of our revenue. Many music lovers have generously donated on a regular basis in support of our mission to provide quality choral music performances.
- The educational impact of donations by individual supporters is far reaching. In addition to providing scholarships to individuals, during this 2023-24 concert season, choral music students from Klein Collins High School will participate in our December concert. This is a rare opportunity for students to perform with a professional orchestra and to experience the interactions with adults who have participated in choral music for most of their lives.
